Coriander is one of the crops widely grown in Iran for consumption. However, the plant will reach the flowering stage and it will be valuable for bees only if it is grown for seed harvesting. Coriander flowers are very attractive to bees and not only boost bee reproduction, they also provide a tasty and high-quality honey with beneficial properties. In addition to the general benefits of honey, Coriander honey has unique properties resulting from its active ingredients such as linalool, α-pinene, limonene, and rutin. The most important properties of Coriander honey are providing anti-spasm (muscle cramps) anti-bloating, and anti-diarrhea effects, strengthening the digestive system, improving bile flow, healing mouth ulcers, and increasing lactation, memory, and sexual power. Coriander honey offers high levels of antifungal and antibacterial compounds which can be of help in processes of treating wounds and burns and/or repairing skin.
